If you are looking for a fall activity to do with your family, look no further than Shuckles Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch at Fiddle Dee Farms. Located in Greenbrier, Tennessee, it is about 30 minutes from Nashville but worth the drive.
The staff at Fiddle Dee Farms were very accommodating. Craig came out to welcome us to the farm and make sure we had everything. Ethan overheard us talking and came over to introduce himself and let us know he was available if we needed anything. The rest of the workers were friendly. One girl came up and offered to take a photo of us with the Welcome sign.
First thing we did was check out the hey hey hayride. They took us on a scenic hayride through the fields, which lasted about 10-15 minutes. Got a chance to scope out the attraction and corn maze. Weather was nice, sun was starting to go down.
Enjoyed the corn maze. I had been to the one at Lucky Ladd Farms a few years ago, but this one seemed much larger. The entrance and pathways were clearly marked. There were a few families walking around inside, having a ball yelling Marco Polo.
They had corrals with animals including chickens, ducks, pigs, and goats. You can normally feed the animals, but that part was down. As was an inflatable giant pillow jump. The whole farm was like a giant playground for kids. They had Halloween themed swings, slides, and other climbing things.
Another big draw for kids is the Bruce Amato magic show four times a day. We sat in on his last show. He did a few of the usual kidās tricks (one with an egg, another with playing cards, made a guestās wedding ring disappear and a rabbit appear). Bruce was good with the little kids, talking at their level throughout and even inviting a few volunteers up onstage. He made it comedic as well.
When we first arrived, there was a wedding going on so a few of the attractions were temporarily shut down, but they did get them back up again after. I acted like a big kid and decided to try out some of the activities geared towards the younger crowd. There were two mini mazes, a red, white and blue maze and right turn only maze. Tried the bull rope toss without much luck. Played basketball, Skee ball, ping pong, and redneck pool.
Most of the attractions are included with the price of admission. However, Shuckle bucks can be purchased for additional experiences. I used mine to decorate a cookie and play bingo, which I really enjoyed. Definitely recommend checking this place out within the next few weeks before the season ends on November 1st.
