Braved the craziness of the Nashville Pride Festival over the weekend to see Gayle. After running all over trying to get my media wristband I gave up and just stood in the crowd. It was hot as heck, and being so close to the speakers the sound was distorted. But it was worth it.

Gayle performed for around 45 minutes. The set included a handful of originals, as well as a few covers. Her vocals shone especially bright as she belted out an acapella intro to “My Generation” that had the crowd cheering. Her best performance though, had to be a mashup of “Born This Way” and “Pink Pony Club”. She looked like she was in her element, rocking out, having a blast.

Gayle closed with her #1 smash “ABCDEFU”, encouraging everyone to scream along which they happily did.
