Please introduce yourself.
My name is Amy Jaime I’m an artist based out of the Vegas area my primary focus in music is Spanish and English. I get to show a twist of my roots. You’ll always catch me writing about love and heartbreak.
Tell us about your newest project. What was the inspiration behind it and where can we check it out?
The inspiration simply was Beyoncé as cliche as it sounds she was probably one of the biggest reasons why I wanted to release a country single, although I dearly always have loved country music that’s one of the biggest reasons. I also wrote it from a place of trying to get over a breakup. “Wishing Wells” can be found on all streaming platforms.
How would you describe your music?
Fun, hot and young.
How did you get started?
It was the pandemic, I always wanted to do music my whole life but was to scared to pursue it. I saw many people follow their passions during the pandemic so I said if they can why can’t I?
Who are your biggest musical influences?
Beyoncé, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Amy Whinehouse and Selena Quintanilla.
If you could change anything about the music industry, what would it be?
How eerie it can be for women, I hope that there will be more women execs in the future. The music industry has definitely changed so I’m hoping it changes even more.
What sets you apart from other artists in your genre?
What sets me apart is my versatility, I know a lot of people don’t like when artists change their sound but I love it, and we usually don’t see that too often. I love being versatile it feels like you’re listening to one big mashed up playlist .
What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?
My inner child. Everything I do is for younger Amy. I hope one day I can make her even more proud and say we made it with music and whatever else it is I do with my life. That’s what keeps me passionate and that’s what keeps me going even when I may not feel like it.
What’s next for you?
3 more singles, and definitely a Christmas single, I already have a Christmas EP that I dropped last year and I might add on to that.
What are your career goals for the next 5 years?
My career goals are to be able to perform at music festivals, to have a solid loving fan base, to possibly perform on national television and to be able to pursue music full time.
