Tell us about your newest project. What was the inspiration behind it and where can we check it out?

My new project is titled “I’m your woman” which was the name of the first single. The inspiration behind this project was going through immense heartbreak that I promised myself wouldn’t take me out. It was about rebuilding myself and then finding myself again. Not eliminating finding love just because it didn’t work out. These songs tell a story of redemption and becoming even a stronger woman than I was before.

All of the music will be available everywhere music is available. I am most active on instagram if you ever want to be up to date with things that are going on!

How would you describe your music?

My music absolutely has a more 90’s early 2000’s female country sound. That’s what I was raised with. Country music and my heart always leads back there. Artists like LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Jo Dee Messina and Martina McBride

How did you get started?

I have been singing since  was 4/5. Ever since I understood who Celine Dion was all I wanted to do was sing. I never had a back up plan. It wasn’t until I graduated high school that I started to take my hobby of singing to a more professional level. As I went to college I commuted home to work with a vocal coach and then put a band together. After college I toured the west coast for 5 years while visiting Nashville to put the pieces together. I then moved to Nashville in 2018. I have released multiple projects and singles that I am so proud of! However it is this work that I am most proud of because I have now started writing my music.

Who are your biggest musical influences?

My biggest musical influences are Celine Dion, LeAnn Rimes, Michael Jackson and Rascal Flats. I am so infatuated with a true vocalist. Other musical influences was my grandfather on my mother’s side. He loved music and I believe he was a huge reason why I love music the way I do.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

If I could change anything about the music industry it would be the “chance” of it all. The idea someone would take a chance on you and the magic they see. Now it feels if you don’t have a “viral” moment or high numbers you aren’t worth the time. The amount of “magic” the industry I believe has passed up on because they may not be good at social media saddens me.

What sets you apart from other artists in your genre?

Lack of fear. When you feel you don’t have much at stake or anything lose you’re willing to take more risks. I feel l do exactly what I want and I love that I don’t do things because someone may have an opinion. I also started a podcast where we discuss the hard topics in the music industry. I say a lot of things people may not like but I know I am being honest to myself and I want to make my future children proud of me one day.

What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

Love. Love is the center of everything. Love gone wrong. Love that feels right. Heartbreak and happiness. These are the moments that unite us all. These are the stories I’m passionate to share. Stories that make me feel closer to people even if we have never even met.

What’s next for you?

More writing, more music and more performing. I can’t wait to start performing more. I am also so excited to share more of my podcast “what’s mine is yours” it has taught me so much about how this industry works and how we truly all have a voice. It’s about trying to get it heard. But you’ll never be heard if you stay silent.

What are your career goals in the next five years?

I am hoping I get the opportunity to tour. I pray I even get to perform at the Opry. I pray that I just get to continue to do what I love and hopefully that will connect and resonate with people. That’s all I can pray for.
