Halfway to Halloween Review

Another frightfully good time at Nashville Nightmare was had this past weekend. They hosted a special Halfway to Halloween event, one weekend only (May 3rd and 4th). Halloween lovers who can’t wait another 5 months packed the place, ready to get their scare on. And once again, they did not disappoint.

This being the third time I have attended (the original Halloween haunted house, Christmas edition, and now this one) I was eager to see if any changes were made. While the Christmas edition seemed more like only the characters and decorations changed, this one offered a bit more. The main haunted house seemed to be revamped, with new twists and turns. Since I wasn’t sure what to expect maybe, this one was the scariest. Quite a few jump scares from characters and special effects that were nicely done. The best part for me was Michael Myers following us around. My boyfriends favorite is the Halloween movies, so that was pretty cool.

There didn’t seem to be as many actors in the houses this time around. I think it was the second one, where we walked through forever before running across anyone. The actors that were there seemed to be into it though. The lady who played Chucky on the bus and the undead bride were especially interactive, and took things up another level. The staff is always super friendly and accomodating. This time we took advantage of the Nightmare bar, which added to the experience.

Two things that would have made it even better. One, I was a bit disappointed in was that the mini escape games hadn’t changed. I’d love to try a new one. Two, the houses felt shorter this time around. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you for the invite!
