Tell us about your newest project. What was the inspiration behind it and where can we check it out?

My latest single, “Breathing” was written during a time where I really missed someone. I was deep in the healing process, but still haunted by thoughts of this person. I started the idea with my friend and producer, Kipper, who had this awesome hook idea, then I took it back to LA and created the verses. It’s out now on Spotify, Apple, wherever you listen to music!

How would you describe your music?

I would say my sound is at the intersection of mainstream pop, hyperpop, and singer songwriter. I’m definitely a lyrically driven writer, but I love big hooks and edgy production, so I usually fall somewhere in the middle. Some of my similar artist would be Charli XCX, Fletcher, or Tove Lo.

How did you get started?

I’ve been writing songs since I was in middle school! I started playing guitar in high school and got into bands, then I took my love for music to Nashville where I really learned the craft and started my career!

Who are your biggest musical influences?

My biggest influences are pretty all over the place, but I would definitely say that I’m influenced by Charli XCX, Taylor Swift was my first introduction to songwriting, and I find a ton of inspiration from nostalgic 2000s pop music.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I think the problems facing the music industry are pretty synonymous with the problems facing most industries, but I’d love to see more championing of female professionals in production, writing, and business!

What sets you apart from other artists in your genre?

I think the thing that sets me, and any artist, apart is my unique story. I tend to be quite conversational in my writing, and I love to express real things I’ve gone through. When it comes to music, I really believe that the most important thing is perspective and having something to say, even if it feels frivolous.

What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

My favorite moments in my career have been those where I get to meet someone who has connected with my music in real life. There’s truly nothing like hearing that your song means something to someone, and I’ve been so lucky to have a few of those moments in my career so far.

What’s next for you?

I’m going to be releasing singles for the rest of the year and hopefully a project, but that will all depend on how things are going!

What are your career goals in the next five years?

I would love to elevate my songs, reach more people and TOUR. I love being on stage and I can’t wait to reach the level where I can get on the road.
