Nashville Nightmare Review!

What a fun night celebrating Halloween at Nashville Nightmare. This was their 13th year of fright, and did not disappoint. USA Today ranked this place in Top 5 Scariest Haunted Houses in the USA. They had four different themed Haunted Houses (Alien Threat, Horror High Homecoming, Dark Fabulyst, and Midnight Mortuary). As I walked around taking in the atmosphere, I saw great photo ops everywhere. The fact that they took a photo of everyone coming in was a nice touch as well.

The scenes in the houses were realistic, with fun stuff to look at everywhere. The staff was great, very friendly and accomodating. The dialogue before we entered each house set the scene. The actors seemed like they were having a lot of fun, interacting with all of the guests. My personal favorite was Horror High Homecoming, due to the actors and jump scare factor.

In addition to the four main houses, there werea few other attractions. The most terrifying was Outkast carnival, a maze. You didn’t know which way to go, which made it more terrifying as you were chased by clowns with chainsaws, looking for a way out. The added laser maze gives you a chance to see what it’s like for all the movie criminals to try and steal the jewels. Not easy, but I did it my last try. The two mini escape games were fun. The one was super easy, but the other we couldn’t figure out.

The highlight of the night was Jason guiding us through the very first haunted house. We must have just lucked out because when we went back later he was gone. If your looking for something fun to do I would 100% recommend. Nashville Nightmare will be open this weekend as normal. Then, on November 11th they are doing a special blackout event. All of the lights will be turned off and groups will be given one glowstick to get them through. I’m telling you, the houses were scary enough with the lights on. I can only imagine how much more terrifying they will be without. So if you think your brave enough, visit nashvillenightmare.com for tickets and have a hauntingly good time.
