CMA SONGWRITER SERIES: MEN OF NASHVILLE!

Chris Carmack (Will)

Jonathan Jackson (Avery)

Sam Palladio (Gunnar)

Charles Esten (Deacon)

Will Chase (Luke)

As a fan of the hit TV show, it was a special treat to see the Men of Nashville play a special singer songwriter night in honor of the CMA Awards. I was blown away by all the talent on that stage. They may play country stars on the show, but in real life all of these guys are talented singer-songwriters. Not only did the men perform songs off the hit TV show to the delight of the crowd, they surprised us with their own originals.

A few highlights. Sam Palladio and Chris Carmack shared that they get together for "Tweets and Beats", where they watch the show and then tweet and play music together. One of their duets, was a song called "Lightning Bones" which featured sweet harmonies from the duo. Jonathan Jackson split his time between playing piano and guitar, and treated us with powerful vocals on a brand new, never been played before song. Will Chase performed his smash TV hit "If I Drink This Beer" and provided funny commentary throughout the show. Last, but not least Charles Esten tore up the guitar playing such hits as the song he sang for Rayna to try and win her back on the show, which he told us he originally wrote with a songwriter friend and was thrilled when they wanted to use it. The cast shared stories from Nashville, and brought out songwriter friends that helped pen some of the hits. It was a special night for fans of ABC's hit TV show Nashville, one they'll never forget.
