Introducing The Highway Women!

Introduce yourselves.

Drew Haley, Kristen Kae, Bailey James, and Jess Paige

Your band is all about female empowerment. What barriers do you face in country music today?

Only the barriers we choose to acknowledge. We pretty much do not pay attention to barriers and instead focus on getting things done like making music, connecting with our fans and hopefully this year getting out on the road.  We hope that all musicians can hit the road again.

Your latest single “Dead Man Walking” recently debuted on Apple Music Best New Country Songs. What has the response been like?

Our fans are loving it!!  We can’t wait for the video release on the 14th.

Where did the title for the song come from?

Well, I wrote the song (Drew Haley) with Tabitha Hux and Randy Bryan.  Randy was telling us a story about a trip to his doctor for a serious matter and he walked into the office and said “Well I am a dead man walking” lol.  Gratefully he was not and for me personally, this song was definitely timing-wise a motivator as I was going through a divorce while we were getting ready to record and start this project.

How would you describe your music?

Country/Pop/Rock.  We are all very different and unique solo artists so we are truly a blended band.

How did you get started in music?

We all started in our solo careers and then our owner and manager Jill Pavel found us and brought us together.

The past year has hit the Entertainment Industry hard with the Pandemic. What has kept you going during the rough times?

We have an amazing team and our fans of course. We made a decision that no matter what we were going to keep bringing them music and videos at the very least.

We hear you have a lot coming up. What can fans expect in 2021?

Hopefully, by the end of the year, we will be on the road!!  Lots of music is dropping this year as well.

What are your career goals in five years?

To be happy, making music together and of course, touring.

Anything else you would like to add?

Yes… thank you so much for always supporting us.
