What a great night of music at The Local Monday evening as we showcased another group of talented young artists! January’s round featured live performances from The Steel Blossoms, Megan Barker, Taylor Gayle, and Ava Paige.
Singer-songwriter Megan Barker kicked off the night on the right foot as she drew listeners in with crafty lyrics and soothing voice. The song she wrote as a tribute to her late father was especially moving.
The Steel Blossoms, a local Country/Americana/Folk duo owned the stage from the moment the music began. Their songs are quirky, hilarious, and catchy. The girls are entertaining to watch, and the added fiddle makes them even more unique.
Ava Paige was clearly enjoying every minute up onstage, as she shared with us a few of her favorites, as well as a brand new tune. She’s got such a sweet personality, and you can’t help but be pulled in with her fun lyrics and big voice.
Taylor Gayle hosted the night, introducing all of the artists and asking them questions, as well as performing. Her bubbly personality will catch your attention, but her powerful voice will stop you in your tracks. She has a maturity in her music beyond her years.
Local organizations Live Laugh Love Nashville and Music Neighbors were on hand to support, as well as freelance photographer John Matthews.
